About Us

Oh hello there, we are Troy and Kyra and we are thrilled to welcome you to Vellu! We crafted Vellu as a way to bring you stylish, luxurious, American made bamboo satin clothing that does not compromise on quality and maintains a strong tie to our counter culture roots.

Troy has spent the last 35 yrs living, breathing, and creating clothing. From crafting outdoor wear for many of the world’s largest brands - trust me, you’ve heard of them ;) - to working with A-List celebrities to bring their apparel dreams to life, Troy is the expert when it comes to making unique high quality clothing… all in the U.S.of A.

Kyra left her job as an Advertising Executive working for some of the world’s biggest brands - brands in tech, high end fashion, fast casual dining, and natural foods… to name a few - to bring her vision of sexy, sustainable, and eccentric clothing to life.

When not working on Vellu, you can find real life best friends Kyra and Troy off seeing live music (Orville Peck, The Black Angels, and Khruangbin have been some of our favorite shows to date), traveling, and enjoying the beautiful outdoors. It should also be noted that we won't say “No” to a good bottle of wine when offered - if you ever need wine recommendations please reach out!

We put a lot of love and care into Vellu, and took a lot of risks to launch what has been a dream of ours for a while. We hope that Vellu helps you to feel sexy, confident, and uniquely you every time you put our clothes on. We are glad you are here, and we are grateful for your support!
